Siddharth Shah

Siddharth is a Senior Partner and member of Khaitan & Co’s Executive Committee. With over 30 years of experience, he advises domestic and international investors, fund managers and businesses on establishing investment vehicles, deploying capital and navigating transactions in India. He has acted as fund counsel across venture capital, private equity, real estate, credit, distressed assets and public markets. His work spans domestic and offshore fund formation, investment platforms, and the legal, regulatory and tax issues that shape their operations. He also advises on private equity and venture capital investments, buyouts, joint ventures and acquisitions, with particular experience in asset management. Siddharth serves on the board of Gelephu Mindfulness City in Bhutan and is involved in its development as a regional business hub. He has contributed to India’s investment framework through regulatory committees and policy initiatives involving the Securities and Exchange Board of India and the Reserve Bank of India. His work across transactions and policy gives him a broad perspective on the evolution of investment in the region.
