Patrick Franz

Patrick Franz is Managing Director of PFYN Capital AG and Head of the PFYN Group, with more than 22 years of experience spanning corporate banking, commodity trading, capital markets, and investment management. He leads the Group’s strategy and governance across its regulated investment management and nuclear commodities trading activities. Mr. Franz established PFYN Capital AG as a FINMA-licensed portfolio management company and oversees investment activities focused on the nuclear fuel cycle, including uranium and related nuclear assets. He previously founded PFYN Advisory Pte Ltd, a commodities trading firm specialising in nuclear fuel-related commodities and working with utilities, nuclear power plant operators, and authorised intermediaries across the United States, China, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

His professional expertise includes nuclear fuel markets, commodities trading, capital markets, investment management, financial regulation, and cross-border transactions within applicable export control, nuclear material, and non-proliferation frameworks. Mr. Franz holds an MBA from Harvard University and is a graduate of the University of Auckland. He is a Responsible Manager under the Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA) and is qualified under the New Zealand Financial Markets Authority (NZFMA).

He is also a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists and the Institute of Directors. He holds a current Commercial Pilot Licence.
