Miklos Gor-Nagy

I started playing water polo at the age of nine and have represented clubs in Hungary and Montenegro. I earned 200 caps for Hungary, competed at three European and five World Championships, won gold at the 2013 World Championships and silver in 2017. In 2019, I won the Champions League with my beloved club, Ferencváros. I am still an active, registered water polo player. Alongside sport, I earned degrees in economics and law, and in 2025 became a Restructuring and Asset Supervision Economist.

I have been an honorary citizen of Károli Gáspár University since 2022. From 2020, I served as Trade Attaché at Hungary’s Consulate General in New York, supporting Hungarian companies entering the U.S. market, American investment in Hungary and FDI attraction. I later served as a sports diplomacy adviser at Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, contributing, among other initiatives, to the establishment of the International Fair Play World Day, recognised by the United Nations. Since 2023, I have worked with the Hungarian Water Polo Federation and currently serve as President of its Competition Committee. I am also a member of the Investment Committee of a Hungarian R&D institution.

Today, my main role is Director of Education at Mathias Corvinus Collegium, Hungary’s leading talent-development institution. I aim to pass on the values of sport—discipline, resilience, responsibility and the pursuit of excellence—to help raise a strong, thoughtful and responsible next generation.
