Michael Sng founded TAEL Partners, a private equity firm, in 2007 and has over 30 years of experience in building businesses, executing financial transactions and developing relationships across Southeast Asia. Prior to TAEL Partners, Michael established UOB Asia, the investment banking subsidiary of UOB, where he built its investment banking business. Earlier in his career, he spent 16 years with Schroders Singapore, covering the ASEAN region.
Michael is deeply involved in education, as Founding Chair of the Board of Governors of Stonyhurst International School, Penang, the sister school of Stonyhurst College, the oldest Jesuit school in the world. He was a founding governor of St. Joseph’s Institution International Singapore as well as three terms on the Board of Governors of his alma mater, SJI.
