Maureen Fan is a CEO and board director with over two decades of experience scaling global digital products across gaming, e-commerce, media, and AI.
As CEO and co-founder of the 10-time Emmy-winning studio Baobab Studios, she leads a company blending storytelling with cutting-edge tech (AI, real-time engines) to build cross-media franchises from top platforms like Roblox. Backed by Disney, Comcast, and Horizons, Baobab’s creative leadership includes directors and producers behind Madagascar and Moana, attracting star talent from Oprah to Kate Winslet.
Previously, as VP of Games at Zynga, Maureen oversaw six studios—including the $3B+ FarmVille franchise—helping drive the company’s massive growth and IPO.
Recognized as one of Ad Age’s “Most Creative People” and Variety’s “Executive to Watch,” she sits on the board and advisory councils for several AI and gaming ventures, including Meta’s Metaverse Council. She is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars) and a frequent keynote speaker at SXSW, TechCrunch Disrupt, and TEDx.
Maureen holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS from Stanford University.
