Ms. Kanchan Jain has over 32 years of experience in Europe and Asia, across corporate and structured finance, private credit, loan markets, and debt capital markets spanning origination, structuring, underwriting, and risk management.
As Founder and Head of Ascertis Credit Group, Ms. Jain is responsible for the business across its investment and non-investment functions. Over the past 12 years, she and the leadership team have built Ascertis Credit into one of Asia’s leading private credit management groups, managing capital for global pension funds, DFIs and Asian financial institutions. Ascertis Credit is one of the earliest mid-market focused performing credit managers, with their strategies focused on providing customized financing solutions to the fast-growing mid-market corporate sector across India and Southeast Asia. Under her leadership, Ascertis Credit has invested c. US$2 billion across five funds establishing a strong track record of consistent performance and cash realizations for investors across fund cycles.
Ms. Jain has been at the forefront of the evolution of private credit in Asia, bringing together insights and experiences from her work across continents and over 3 decades, and partnering with entrepreneurs, sponsors, and businesses to provide flexible solutions to power growth and value creation. Prior to founding Ascertis Credit, she spent more than a decade in London, including as Managing Director at HSBC and, previously, as Director in Structured Credit at Barclays Capital. Earlier in her career, Ms. Jain worked extensively in Asian debt capital markets across debt syndication, loan trading, and risk based out of Hong Kong, and in project finance based in India.
Having lived and worked across India, Asia, and the United Kingdom, Ms. Jain brings a global perspective and deep regional expertise to her work at Ascertis Credit and in the region.
