Joshua Lim

Joshua Lim is a seasoned energy trading executive with over 27 years of global experience spanning LNG, oil, and commodity markets. As Vice President and Global Head of LNG Trading at Shell, he leads the world’s largest LNG portfolio—covering trading, optimisation, freight, and marine LNG. Based in Singapore, Joshua is responsible for driving commercial performance across Shell’s integrated value chain, cultivating strategic relationships, and mentoring a high-performing team of over 60 professionals. Throughout his career, Joshua has delivered consistent profitability and innovation across roles in Shell, Mercuria, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley. He is a respected voice in the energy trading community, known for his expertise in derivatives, risk management, and navigating complex market dynamics. Joshua serves on the boards of Shell Eastern Trading and Pavilion Energy Singapore, contributing to strategic decision-making at the highest levels. He holds an Executive MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
