David (Jinfeng) Huang is the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Yatsen Group. In this capacity, David oversees the group’s overall strategy and long-term vision, while driving its global expansion and international development.
David founded Yatsen Group in 2016 and launched the group’s first beauty brand, Perfect Diary, the following year. Under his leadership, Yatsen Group expanded rapidly and went on to list successfully on the New York Stock Exchange in 2020 (NYSE: YSG), becoming the first Chinese cosmetics group to be publicly listed in the United States. Yatsen Group’s vision is to become a world-class beauty innovation pioneer. Its brand portfolio currently includes Perfect Diary, Little Ondine, DR.WU (its Chinese Mainland business), Galénic, and EVE LOM, spanning a broad range of consumer needs and price segments.
David holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Sun Yat-sen University and brings a diverse career background ranging from multinational corporations to local entrepreneurship. He has worked at Procter & Gamble and UNIFON, where he developed a strong foundation in systematic brand management-experience that laid the groundwork for his entrepreneurial path in the beauty industry.
As founder and CEO, David places a strong emphasis on long-term brand value, product innovation and global expansion, and is committed to elevating the image of Chinese beauty brands in international markets.
