Belinda Tanoto

Belinda Tanoto is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Tanoto Foundation, her family’s independent philanthropic organisation dedicated to catalysing systems change in education and healthcare. She plays a leading role in shaping the Foundation’s key objectives and strategies, working closely with stakeholders on the ground to understand real-world challenges and their root causes.

Belinda is deeply passionate about human capital development and is committed to initiatives that invest in people and potential. She actively drives the Foundation’s priority programs in Education, Healthcare, and Leadership Development across Indonesia, Singapore, China, and Brazil. Her approach emphasises long-term, evidence-based, and collaborative investments that create sustainable impact and unlock human potential. She frequently speaks and writes on issues related to poverty alleviation, early childhood education, and basic education development. In recognition of her work, Forbes named her one of Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy in 2019.

Belinda also serves as a member of the UNICEF International Council, further advancing her commitment to global development. Belinda holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and political science from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
