Yue Wan is the Executive Director of the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), A*STAR. She received her B.Sc. in Cell Biology and Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and earned her Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Stanford University under the mentorship of Dr. Howard Y. Chang. During her Ph.D., she developed the first high-throughput method for genome-wide RNA structure probing. Yue is a recipient of the A*STAR National Science Scholarship (NSS-PhD) and has been recognized internationally as a Branco Weiss Fellow (Society in Science), EMBO Young Investigator, and CIFAR-Azrieli Global Scholar. She was recently elected as an EMBO Associate Member in recognition of her research excellence and outstanding achievements in the field of RNA. Her accolades also include the Young Scientist Award, the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science and Singapore National Fellowship. Most recently, Yue participated in the international Wellcome Leap RNA Readiness and Response program.
