Robert was appointed as Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' Market Unit Head for Asia in March 2025, having previously held the role of Head Property & Specialty Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Robert is a global insurance professional with over 20 years of experience in Underwriting, Client & Portfolio Management, M&A and Regional Leadership. Since joining Swiss Re in 2001, he has held various underwriting and leadership positions across Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. Prior to relocating to Singapore in 2020, Robert's accomplishments with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions include leading the Group's North American Energy team, establishing the subsidiary in Texas (USA), and steering the strategic direction across all Lines of Business for the Central and Western US regions. Robert is a native of Zurich (Switzerland), holds a Master of Science Degree from the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich as well as a post-master's degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Zurich. He is a member of the board of directors of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions China, and SOOA SRI Australia.
