JP Lee is the Chief Executive Officer of SBVA (formerly SoftBank Ventures Asia), leading global investments in AI, deep tech, and next-generation platforms. Since joining in 2015 and becoming CEO in 2018, he has expanded SBVA into a leading Asian venture capital firm with funds across Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and the U.S. In 2023, he guided SBVA’s spin-off together with Taizo Son and Taira Atsushi from SoftBank Group while maintaining close partnership with SoftBank as a key LP.JP has invested in category-defining companies including You.com, Lunit, Hyperconnect, Standard Energy, Mythic AI, and Aquabyte, building SBVA’s reputation as a cross-border bridge between Asia and the global innovation ecosystem. An entrepreneur turned investor, he founded Evixar, later acquired by LGU+, and co-founded Enswers, acquired by Tribune Media Group. These experiences shaped his founder-first philosophy, emphasizing bold visions and long-term resilience.
