Supriya Balakrishnan leads LGT VP’s investment strategy in India and various deals in education, healthcare, and the environment sectors, in collaboration with LGT VP’s global team. She has over a decade of experience in investment banking, social sector consulting, impact investing and venture philanthropy. Prior to LGT VP, Supriya worked at UNDP with the SDG Finance Facility, a platform for designing and incubating SDG-aligned financial instruments that crowd-in additional capital to focus on priority development challenges in India. She also worked at the Tata Trusts in the Managing Trustee’s Office, leading flagship programs across education, healthcare, and skilling. She started her development sector career at Dasra in the research and due diligence vertical, working across areas such as employability and healthcare. Supriya also spent her initial professional years in investment banking at JP Morgan, India. She graduated with a BA in Economics (Hons.) from Lady Shri Ram College, and an MBA from IIM Kozhikode and is currently based out of Mumbai, India.
