Matthew Kaminski is a Polish-born American journalist and media executive. He cofounded and led POLITICO Europe from its birth as a standalone publication in 2014 through 2018. He was subsequently the editor-in-chief of POLITICO in Washington in 2019-23 and currently is its editor-at-large, writing a regular column and features on global affairs. He has worked for the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal and lived in Kyiv, Brussels, Paris, and New York. Among his honors, Matt was awarded the Overseas Press Club award for his coverage of Ukraine in 2014 and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. He lives in Washington.
