K V Rao is a senior business leader based in Singapore. He was the former Resident Director of Tata Sons, based in Singapore, and has held several board and business leadership positions, in his career spanning over 40 years. He is a Senior Accredited Director of Singapore Institute of Directors. He has significant international experience, covering over 40 countries, in the developed and emerging markets with a focus on Asia. His experience covers, consumer, industrial, and services sectors and includes a stint with the Singapore Civil Service. He currently serves as Chairman and Director of leading companies in Singapore and is also an Advisor to large corporations in Singapore. He currently serves on a number of public bodies and industry platforms, including the Board of Advisors of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA), the Board of Trustees for the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA), as Vice Chairman of the South Asia Business Council of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), and as President of the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS). He was a former board member of the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry till Dec 2020 and as Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry India Business Forum (CII-IBF)
