Cosimo is the Minister-Counsellor and Senior Australian Treasury Representative to Southeast Asia, based in the Australian Embassy Jakarta. Previously he was Director, Foreign Investment, at the Australian Treasury; Senior Adviser to the Foreign Investment Review Board; and Senior Adviser to the Treasurer of Australia, responsible for international economic and security issues. Cosimo started his career as a diplomat at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, where he was posted to Jakarta as Third Secretary. He speaks Indonesian and has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics and History from Pomona College in Claremont, California.
