Brett Krause is General Partner at Transcend Fund, a top performing early-stage venture capital fund specializing in digital entertainment. Brett is a proven executive leader in the areas of venture investing, game making, finance and banking. He is a passionate problem solver with a love for mobilizing capital and other resources to help portfolio companies succeed. Following a 20-year banking career that included roles as President of JPMorgan China and CEO of Citi Vietnam, Brett spent 5 years as Chief Investment Officer at FunPlus, a world-class, independent game developer and publisher. He was also a founder of FPX, one of the most successful global esports organizations. In addition to his venture and gaming expertise, Brett serves as an Independent Non-Executive Board Director of ESR Group Limited, a leading new-economy logistics real estate platform with a strong presence across Asia-Pacific. Brett grew up on a farm in Northwest Iowa, received his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and an MBA degree from Columbia Business School. He has spent most of his professional career in Asia and speaks Mandarin, Japanese and French. He is currently based in Zug, Switzerland.
