Steven (Steve) A. Long is Corporate Vice President in Sales and Marketing at Intel Corporation. He is currently the Asia Pacific & Japan General Manager, with responsibility for Intel’s business across the Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) Region. Steve joined Intel in 2000 and has held a breadth of positions across sales and marketing, division product planning, pricing, and operations. He began his Intel career in California as a product & pricing market analyst. In 2004, he spent a year in Hong Kong managing the operations team responsible for Intel’s business in Asia. In 2005, Steve moved to Brazil to lead Intel’s reseller channel business. Subsequently, he took over responsibility for all Latin America sales activities. He moved back to the United States in 2008 to oversee multinational accounts across the Americas. In 2010, Steve returned to Brazil in the role of General Manager of Latin America, responsible for all of Intel’s business in the region – consumer, government, education, enterprise, channel, marketing, sales, and communications. In 2016, Steve moved to Portland to lead Sales & Marketing’s 5k person transformation and took over Intel’s $41B+ sales for the Global Client business in October 2017, where he led the team to 5 consecutive years of record performance. Prior to joining Intel, Steve worked in the telecommunications industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies from Tulane University, an MBA from Texas A&M University, and is an alumnus of Harvard’s Advanced Management Program.
