Naazneen Karmali is Asia Wealth Editor and India Editor of Forbes Asia based in Mumbai, India’s financial capital, from where she oversees the Asian rich lists and also covers the wealth of India's richest. A graduate of accountancy and management from the University of Bombay, Naazneen is a veteran business journalist who has been writing and reporting on India’s entrepreneurs since 1981. She began her career as a reporter at Business India, the country’s pioneering business magazine, and rose through the ranks to become its managing editor. Naazneen started her association with Forbes as a contributor in 1997, tracking India’s billionaires, a group that is now among Asia’s wealthiest. She joined Forbes Asia full-time in 2008 to expand coverage of India and its rising business tycoons. Naazneen is a member of the Sustainability Advisory Council of Bonn-headquartered Deutsche Post-DHL. She has also been a Fellow of the Asia Society in New York and is co-author of The Hit Parade, which profiles India’s business tycoons.
