Sophia Lopez

Sophia Lopez is a founder and COO of Kaleido, part of the ConsenSys ecosystem of companies. Kaleido is an award-winning full stack software-as-a-service platform rated by industry analysts as the #1 blockchain-as-a-service globally and called "the killer app for enterprise blockchain". Its clients include the top third of the world's largest 20 banks and over 1,500 enterprise blockchain networks are running globally on its platform today. Kaleido is the only platform backed by the world's largest blockchain company and leading cloud companies. Prior to Kaleido, Sophia led the IBM Blockchain Platform team with responsibility for the open source portfolio and commercialization of the blockchain technology, launching the industry's first blockchain managed service and two subsequent generations of managed blockchain services. Previously, Sophia held various positions in IBM as a Profit and Loss (P&L) Leader responsible for multi-billion dollar lines of business for enterprise systems. Sophia shaped business vision and strategy, drove growth in mature segments, and incubated successful new technology business lines. Sophia has an engineering undergraduate degree from Harvard University and an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill.
