Alain is responsible for CPPIB's international investment activities and the overall management of our global advisory relationships. Alain is based in London and is also Head of Europe. Alain has been based in London since 1998 and has more than 23 years of financial industry experience. Prior to joining CPPIB, he was most recently Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. in their Investment Banking division in New York and London. Alain started his career as a lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York. Alain holds a Bachelor of Law from Laval University in Quebec City, a Masters in Law (D.E.S.S.) from the Sorbonne in Paris and a Masters in Law from Columbia University.
