John Riady is CEO of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk and Chairman of PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk, respectively the largest real estate and hospitals company in Indonesia. John is also the Managing Partner at Venturra Capital, and is an active investor in the Southeast Asia technology sector, including in OVO, Indonesia’s leading digital payments company, a company which John Co-Founded. John is a licensed attorney in the State of New York and holds degrees in Political Philosophy and Economics from Georgetown University, an MBA from the Wharton School of Business (Palmer Scholar) and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University. He is also a member of the Columbia University International Advisory Board, the Wharton Business School Asia Executive Board, and is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (YGL). John is also a lecturer at the Pelita Harapan Law School in Jakarta, and is a regular oped contributor on Indonesian and regional social, economic and political issues. An Indonesian citizen, John resides in Jakarta with his wife Chew Xuan Wei, and three children, Joshua, Caleb and Claire.
