Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Labor Organization estimated that 27 percent of workers in high-income countries could work remotely. Although working from home was traditionally synonymous with high-density cities, the establishment of new social distancing norms has led to a reevaluation of the trend. This webinar discusses how the changing office environment will impact the sociology of work and our overall economy. How can we adapt work practices and reap the benefits of this experience with remote working – for employers and workers – without losing the value of working in a shared office space?
