The End of Offices? Teleworking and the Economy

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Labor Organization estimated that 27 percent of workers in high-income countries could work remotely. Although working from home was traditionally synonymous with high-density cities, the establishment of new social distancing norms has led to a reevaluation of the trend.
