Preventive care is acknowledged to be a critical component of the health-care ecosystem. Early detection and management are known to save lives. However, even large investments and strategies for prevention fade when compared to investments to develop post-diagnostic treatments and cures. Primary care systems must be strengthened. This session provides a forum for international leaders in the field to discuss the economic case for preventive health care and high-impact components of health care management.
