The Race for Global Green Energy

-

International climate negotiations have shone a spotlight on the role of low and middle income counties in the race to decarbonize the global economy, and the responsibilities of high income countries in supporting their climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience efforts. How can the countries most vulnerable to climate change simultaneously meet their economic development and emissions goals? Building on the United Nations "loss and damage" fund established at COP27, what further actions can the governments, corporations, and financial institutions of high income countries undertake to accelerate the global green transition? Panelists will respond to the question of what must be done to achieve an equitable and inclusive transition that creates balanced opportunities to participate in the growing global green economy.
