The UAE has made clear its desire to support climate action by agreeing to host COP28. Nonetheless, significant responsibilities come with being the host country for a global climate conference. Ambassador Patricia Espinosa, former Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, has navigated this matter for the past six years, which, among many things, must consider logistics, operations, tourism, and execution.
