The Era of AI: Greater Expectations for Industries and Livelihoods

Seemingly overnight, beginning in the latter half of 2022, AI-powered tools seemed to pop up everywhere, accompanied by stories of the real-world impact they would have on the creative economy, health care, professional services and more. As AI entrenches itself ever more deeply in our lives and livelihoods, serious conversations are needed not only to explore its opportunities but frame its ethical use. How can institutions ensure that AI stays within appropriate ethical boundaries, and who should be responsible for those guidelines? What impact will the continued growth of AI have on people’s livelihoods, and how can institutions and individuals prepare for a future more dominated by it?
