Author Talk: Sherrie Westin, "What I Learned from Mom"

-

Some of life's most enduring lessons don't come from boardrooms or business schools—they come from mom. In this collection of 27 deeply personal essays, What I Learned from Mom, CEO of Sesame Workshop Sherrie Westin invites some of today’s most celebrated figures to reflect on the maternal wisdom that shaped who they have become. Prepare to be inspired by the unique stories and firsthand accounts of what these individuals’ first teacherstheir motherspassed down and how they take those lessons into their adult lives. Alongside Anonymous Content’s Darren Walker, who himself contributed a personal essay to the collection, Sherrie Westin will shine a light on what it means to honor our first teachers, why these stories matter, and what all of usregardless of our relationship with our own motherscan take from the lessons shared in these pages.

As with all Global Conference public sessions, registration is not required to attend an Author Talk, but seating is limited. Seats will be open to the first 100 attendees. We recommend Conference attendees add any Author Talks of interest to your agenda. If you cannot attend the Author Talk or are solely interested in the book signing portion, we encourage you to come to the Global Conference on-site bookstore managed by Barnes & Noble at the end of the scheduled hour for a 30-minute signing.

Books featured in the Author Talks and Book Signings are available for purchase at the on-site bookstore.
