Non-Resident Ambassador to Timor Leste, Republic of Singapore Advisory Senior Director, Temasek

Robin Hu is the chairman of the Asia team within the International pillar at the Milken Institute. He headed sustainability and international policy at Temasek before becoming its vice chairman for Asia and operating partner in 2022. He is currently an advisory senior director to Temasek and chairman of Constellar Holding Ltd., a Temasek portfolio company in the exhibition and convention business. He is also chairman of Mandai Nature, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to protecting biodiversity and wildlife conservation in Southeast Asia.

Prior to Temasek, Hu was group CEO of Hong Kong–listed, English-language South China Morning Post, where he led the group’s transformation into a digital-centric media platform, resulting in its subsequent divestiture to Alibaba Group. In 2023, Hu was appointed Singapore's nonresident ambassador to Timor-Leste ahead of its accession to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

Hu has lived and worked in multiple cities in Asia, including Singapore, Taipei, Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, and Hong Kong, spanning multiple industries such as IT, internet, media, finance, and government. He is a member of the international advisory council of the London-based think tank, Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum, and the Bank of Singapore’s Chief Investment Office Global Advisory Investment Council.
