Annelie Ajami

Founder and General Partner, Anamcara Capital

Annelie Ajami is the Founder and Managing Partner of Anamcara Capital, a pre-/seed stage venture fund investing in B2B technologies that enable small and medium-sized businesses. The fund invests across EMENA in verticals such as B2B SaaS, fintech, online commerce, marketplaces, future of work, creator economic and web3 infrastructure. Annelie has extensive experience in asset management. In 2016 she joined B&Y Venture Partners, an early-stage venture fund in Lebanon, as an Associate. In early 2020 she became a Venture Partner and was responsible for fundraising and deal sourcing in Europe and US. During her time there, she founded Gaia Venture Consulting, an advisory firm advising private and institutional investors on (in)direct tech investments. Previously she worked at Bedrock, an asset manager in London with $9bn in AUM. She is also the co-founder of the Ajami Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to empowering communities by supporting education and entrepreneurship initiatives in Lebanon. Annelie is a two-time national boxing champion and won the Dutch and UK National Boxing Championship in 2010. She holds a BA in History and Politics from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Politics (LSE).
