Elisabeth Moss

Actress and Producer

Elisabeth Moss is one of the most acclaimed dramatic actresses working in television today — and, increasingly, one of its most formidable producers.

Moss can currently be seen starring alongside Kerry Washington and Kate Mara in Apple TV+'s limited series "Imperfect Women," which she also executive produces. She will soon begin work on "Conviction," a Hulu series from David Shore based on the Jack Jordan novel, in which she will star as well as executive produce.

She most recently starred in the sixth and final season of the Emmy Award-winning Hulu drama series "The Handmaid's Tale," which she also executive produced and directed — including four episodes of its final season, bringing her total to ten directed episodes across the series. Among the many honors she received for the show are Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Drama Series, as well as both awards in the Best Drama Series category as an Executive Producer.

Her additional television credits include the FX thriller "The Veil" from Steven Knight; the Apple TV+ series "Shining Girls," on which she also directed two episodes; Jane Campion's "Top of the Lake" and its follow-up "Top of the Lake: China Girl," earning her Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries; "Mad Men," for which her portrayal of Peggy Olson earned six Emmy nominations, a Golden Globe nomination, and two SAG Award nominations; and Aaron Sorkin's "The West Wing," in which she played Zoey Bartlett.

Her film credits include SHELL directed by Max Minghella; THE INVISIBLE MAN; SHIRLEY opposite Michael Stuhlbarg; HER SMELL; Jordan Peele's US with Lupita Nyong'o; Wes Anderson's THE FRENCH DISPATCH; THE SQUARE, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival; TRUTH with Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford; and HIGH-RISE with Tom Hiddleston, among others.

On stage, Moss received a Tony nomination for her performance in the Broadway revival of Wendy Wasserstein's Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning play The Heidi Chronicles. Additional theater credits include The Children's Hour in London's West End opposite Keira Knightley, the Broadway revival of Speed-the-Plow opposite William H. Macy, and her New York theater debut at the Atlantic Theater Company in Franny's Way.

Through her production company, Love & Squalor Pictures, which she runs with partner Lindsey McManus, Moss has expanded her creative footprint significantly. The company executive produced the upcoming “Imperfect Women” and “The Testaments,” as well as " "The Veil," "Shining Girls," and the recently announced "Conviction." Additional productions include the films SHELL, directed by Max Minghella; the critically acclaimed LIGHT FROM LIGHT, which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival; and HIVE from writer/director Blerta Basholli, Kosovo's submission for Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards.
