Amanda Davies is the Chief R&D, Procurement and Sustainability Officer at Mars Snacking, maker of iconic brands including M&M'S®, SNICKERS®, SKITTLES®, EXTRA®, ORBIT®, KIND®, Pringles® and Cheez-It®.
Amanda’s unique role connects the dots across the business to ensure an integrated approach to sustainable growth while reducing carbon emissions. She is committed to driving real impact, from supply chain resiliency to unlocking value for the business to delivering progress against bold sustainability ambitions. To do this, she maintains a relentless focus on embedding sustainability and science-led innovation throughout the business. And as a passionate people leader, Amanda has a track record for developing high performing teams and bringing out the best in Associates.
With a belief that partnerships are critical, Amanda is known for creating strategic intimacy and collaborative advantage while building an ecosystem with external partners – scaled suppliers, start-ups, academia. She is spearheading Unreasonable Food, a collaboration between Mars and Unreasonable Group, working with pioneering entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of food and addressing climate change head on.
Amanda received her master’s degree in chemical engineering from Cambridge University. Always up for an adventure, she enjoys skiing, sailing, and cycling. Amanda currently lives in Chicago, Illinois with her husband Mark, children Lucy & Thomas, and beloved dog Nora.
