Glenn Yago

Senior Fellow and Founder, Financial Innovations Labs, Milken Institute; Senior Director, Milken Innovation Center, Jerusalem Institute

Glenn Yago is a senior fellow and founder of the Financial Innovations Labs at the Milken Institute and senior director of the Milken Innovation Center and Blum Lab for Developing Economies at the Jerusalem Institute. The Center and Lab he oversees in Israel serve as a development finance field school providing post-graduate Fellows training in innovative finance practice to launch high-value tech solutions for global sustainable development. His research contributed to policy and program innovations fostering the democratization of capital to traditionally underserved markets to finance ideas for projects by business and social entrepreneurs globally. The National Science Foundation, Ford Foundation, Google Foundation, Gilbert Foundation, Rothschild Foundation, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among others, have supported his research projects. His latest book (with Franklin Allen at the Imperial College London School of Business) is Advanced Introduction to Financial Innovation (London: Edward Elgar, 2023 forthcoming). Yago is also a visiting professor and Dean’s Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem School of Business and the University of California-Berkeley.
