Rob Heyvaert is the Founder and Managing Partner of Motive Partners, a leading specialist private equity firm focused on financial technology, with over 160 professionals based between New York and London. Mr. Heyvaert is an experienced financial technology executive and entrepreneur, having held senior leadership positions in the world’s leading financial technology firms and having founded, scaled, and exited two industry-leading global financial services and technology firms. Mr. Heyvaert started his first company, Cimad, at age 24 and built a real-time capital markets settlement engine that became the backbone of European clearing and settlement. Cimad was later sold to IBM. Mr. Heyvaert then founded Capco at age 34, which went on to become a leader in financial technology advisory and execution. Capco was acquired by FIS, the largest provider of transaction processing services to financial institutions across the world, in 2010. After the acquisition, Mr. Heyvaert was appointed as Corporate Executive Vice President of Global Financial Solutions, and was the executive that lead the $9.1 billion SunGard acquisition, one of the largest financial technology acquisitions to date.
