Dan Levitan is co-founder and partner at Maveron LLC. He has over 25 years of collective experience in venture capital and investing, specializing in leading consumer and retail businesses. Eager to help innovative companies realize their full potential, Dan launched Maveron in 1998 with Howard Schultz, former CEO and Executive Chairman of Starbucks Coffee Company. Maveron is an early-stage, consumer-only venture capital firm that invests across the US in end consumer brands. Over his time there, Dan has led many successful exits, including zulily (NASDAQ: ZU), Potbelly (NASDAQ: PBPB), Trupanion (NYSE: TRUP), Capella Education Company (NASDAQ: CPLA), eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY), and Shutterfly (NASDAQ: SFLY). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Allbirds, Arivale, PlutoVR, Pro.com, Spyce, Trupanion, and Two Chairs. Dan currently serves as vice chair of Seattle Children's Foundation board and he also serves on the Investment Advisory Committee for Seattle Children's which oversees $2B in AUM. Dan is also a board member of The Rock Center for Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School. Dan is also chair of Brothers for Life.
