Jarvis V. Hollingsworth is a Partner in the international law firm of Bracewell LLP and has a fiduciary practice counseling boards of directors/trustees of public and private entities. He is a former member of the firm's management committee. Mr. Hollingsworth currently serves as Chairman of the board of trustees of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, a Texas state agency which manages a $150 billion-plus pension trust fund. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc. (Frost Bank) (NYSE: CFR), based in San Antonio, Texas, and on the board of directors of Emergent Technologies LP, a financial technology company that provides payment services in emerging markets and new blockchain-based payment technologies. Mr. Hollingsworth is the former Chairman of the Board of Regents of the University of Houston System, and has previously served as a director of the State Bar of Texas. He received a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston. He is a member of the 2018 Ebony Magazine Power 100.
