Nina Frost is co-founder and president of RARE Hope, a nonprofit advancing a patient-partnered drug development model to accelerate treatments across rare diseases. Following her daughter’s diagnosis with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC), an ultra-rare neurological condition, she built a research program spanning 50 leading institutions and oversaw capital raises totaling more than $40 million for AHC. The program has advanced therapeutics across multiple technologies, including breakthroughs in gene editing.
She champions rare disease as a catalyst for broader therapeutic innovation, developing modular approaches to therapeutic development that can support treatments across diseases and serve populations far beyond rare disease.
