William (Tré) Clayton is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Arc Lane Capital, a growth equity fund currently targeting $150 million for its inaugural fund. Arc Lane invests across enterprise technologies, healthcare, and hard assets, partnering with high-growth companies and pursuing differentiated exit strategies to expedite returns for limited partners.
Tré is a member of the Milken Institute’s Young Leaders Cohort and works closely with the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism Council—comprised of leading institutional allocators—to develop a standardized, industry-wide common application for evaluating emerging fund managers, advancing efficiency and access across the asset management ecosystem.
In parallel, Tré serves as Vice President of Investment Banking at Loop Capital, where he leads coverage of financial sponsor relationships, advising private equity, growth equity, and venture capital clients. He also oversees IPOs and other equity capital markets transactions, having executed more than $80 billion in ECM and IPO activity, including Medline, Instacart, Navan, Life360, and Robinhood.
Previously, Tré was a Vice President at Siebert Williams Shank, where he was the youngest Vice President at the firm at the time. His experience includes advising on IPOs such as Peloton, Warner Music Group, and Oatly, as well as Tyson Foods’ $1.2 billion sale of its pet treats business to General Mills.
Tré is a Limited Partner at Collab Capital, has invested in startups founded by Black women, and is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree. He is a graduate of Howard University and holds FINRA Series 79, 7, and 63 licenses.
