Tim Dattels

Mr. Timothy Dattels serves as a Senior Advisor to TPG Global, having served as Partner of TPG Capital and Chairman of TPG Asia. Prior to joining TPG in 2004, Tim was a Partner and Managing Director of Goldman Sachs and Head of Investment Banking in Asia. He currently sits on the Board of Seviora, a Temasek owned multi-asset, multi-manager asset management group. He is also a Board Director of TikTok USA and Board Chair of Alpine Canada Alpin, the national governing body for alpine ski racing in Canada. In addition, he is a Senior Advisor to KSL Capital Partners, a leading investor in the travel and leisure industry and a Director of Sagard, a $56 billion alternative asset manager led by Paul Desmarais III. Tim is Chairman Emeritus and past Chair of The Jackson Laboratory, an independent not-for-profit biomedical research institution focused on discovering the genetic basis for preventing and curing human disease and enabling research and education for the global biomedical community. Tim was also appointed by the Prime Minister of Canada as a representative on the APEC Business Council. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the University of Western Ontario. Prior Boards include Cushman & Wakefield, BlackBerry, Invest in Canada, Parkway Holdings, Primedia, Shangri-La Asia, Sing Tao News Corporation and SFJazz.
