Shashank Mathur

Managing Director, Harvard Management Company
Shashank Mathur heads APAC for Harvard Management Company (HMC), which manages the University’s endowment. HMC invests across a range of asset classes including private equity, hedge funds, and public equities. The endowment focuses on long-term returns through partnerships with external managers, co-investments, and direct investments. Mr. Mathur joined HMC in 2008 and was formerly based in the Firm’s Boston office. Prior to the endowment, Mr. Mathur worked at Morgan Stanley in New York in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Principal Investing divisions. He received a BS in Molecular Biology from Princeton University in 2003 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2008.
