Her Excellency Robyn Mudie

Ms. Mudie currently serves as Australia’s High Commissioner to Singapore, having presented her credentials to President Tharman Shanmugaratnam in May 2026. Ms Mudie is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, with more than 30 years of experience in Australia’s foreign service. Prior to her current appointment, she has served as Australian Ambassador to Vietnam and as High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Maldives; Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Geneva; First Secretary, UN Permanent Mission, New York; and Second Secretary, Hanoi.

Ms. Mudie was the founding Executive Director of the Diplomatic Academy and has served as Assistant Secretary, Public Diplomacy and Information Resources Branches. Ms Mudie holds a Master of Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Hull, United Kingdom, a Graduate Diploma in Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Australian National University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Adelaide.

She speaks Vietnamese. She has two sons in university and is accompanied in Singapore by her husband, Mr. Jonathan Phelps.
