During two decades with LVMH, he held several senior leadership positions, including President of Sephora Asia and CEO of LVMH Watches & Jewelry Asia. He became Group President of LVMH Asia in 2008 and Group Chairman of LVMH Asia in 2014. In 2008, Mr. Thakran founded L Capital Asia, serving as Chairman and Managing Partner and building it into one of Asia’s leading consumer-focused growth investment platforms. Under his leadership, L Capital Asia invested in more than 42 companies across Asia Pacific. Seven portfolio companies achieved annual revenues exceeding US$1 billion. He also served on numerous boards, including seven publicly listed companies across Asia. Prior to LVMH, Mr. Thakran held senior management positions with the Swatch Group, Nike and the Tata Group. Beyond his executive and investment roles, Mr. Thakran has served on the Board of Harrods London and as a Director of the Singapore Tourism Board, alongside international business, conservation and cultural engagements.
