Dave Lu

Managing Partner, Hyphen Capital
Dave Lu is the Managing Partner of Hyphen Capital, a San Francisco-based early stage venture capital firm that invests in Asian American technology founders. He has invested over $35M in companies including Persona, Gamma and Formation Bio among others. Prior to launching Hyphen, Dave founded two software startups after working at iconic tech companies including Yahoo, Apple, eBay and Cisco in product and marketing roles.. He also won an Emmy Award for producing the HBO documentary "38 at the Garden" about NBA player Jeremy Lin. He currently serves on the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center advisory board. Dave graduated with a bachelor's from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
