Jack Zhang

Jack Zhang is Co-founder and CEO of Airwallex, and is responsible for devising and implementing the overall strategic vision of the company. Under his leadership, Airwallex has raised over US$800 million in funding, supported by top-tier investors including Lone Pine Capital, Greenoaks Capital, Salesforce Ventures and DST Global.Jack has won a series of awards for his outstanding entrepreneurial achievements including Outstanding Leader of the Year by Fintech Australia (2019) and one of Ernst & Young's Entrepreneurs of the Year (2018). He was also recognised for his engineering excellence and awarded one of the most prestigious engineering awards in Australia, the Kernot Memorial Medal, by the University of Melbourne (2021).Prior to starting Airwallex, Jack had over a decade of experience in foreign exchange trading and investment banking across London, Melbourne and Hong Kong.
