States of Health: Innovation Beyond Washington DC

Many of the most important innovations in US health care are happening at the state level. States are testing new approaches to system components including primary care, and prevention. Also included in the picture are workforce challenges, Medicaid, behavioral health, data infrastructure, and community partnerships. All these elements often serve as testbeds for ideas that later influence the rest of the country. The discussion will bring together leaders from states operating in different political environments and pursuing different strategies. The goal is to explore what‘s working, what’s not, and and identify lessons that can be more broadly applied.
