Adam Schechter became president and CEO of LabCorp, the world's largest clinical and diagnostic laboratory, on November 1, 2019. Prior to that, Schechter served as a LabCorp director since April 1, 2013, and was named lead independent director in January 2019. As a member of the board, Adam has been deeply engaged over the last six years in the development and evolution of LabCorp's strategy.
A healthcare executive with a deep understanding of the US and global environments, Schechter joined LabCorp after a distinguished career at Merck, where he served as executive vice president and president of global human health, and was a member of the executive committee.
Schechter, 55, is the board chair for Water.org and an executive board member for the National Alliance for Hispanic Health. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology from La Salle University.
