Wray T. Thorn is the Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer of Sightway Capital, a Two Sigma company focused on private equity investments as well as Chair and Venture Partner of Two Sigma Ventures, Two Sigma's venture investing arm. Mr. Thorn has spent his career identifying, financing, structuring and investing in private investment and venture capital transactions, including being involved in numerous management buyouts transactions, venture investments, add-on acquisitions, realizations, corporate financings, fundraisings and other principal transactions, and numerous leverage financings totaling in excess of approximately $25 billion in aggregate consideration. Prior to joining Two Sigma, Mr. Thorn was a senior managing director with Marathon Asset Management, a director with Fox Paine & Company, and part of the Acquisition Finance Group at Chemical Bank (today, J.P Morgan Chase). Mr. Thorn currently serves or has served as a member of the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of over 15 public and private companies and investment funds and is Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of Youth, INC. Mr. Thorn earned his bachelor's degree in government (cum laude) from Harvard University.
