Talia Rivera (she/her), a Boston native, brings over 20 years of experience working with communities, non-profits, philanthropy, and government to advance solutions to social justice issues. She has worked on intergenerational poverty, community organizing, and gun and gang violence. Prior to joining the Fund for a Safer Future in September 2022, Talia served as Director of the City of Boston’s gang intervention program, SOAR (Street Outreach, Advocacy and Response) Boston. Talia has held positions at the Council on Foundations, Boston Rising, Eos Foundation, and the Boston TenPoint Coalition. Talia’s experience has shown her what the power of listening and research combined with funding and action can do to transform lives and make our communities safer.
