Mark Allegretta

Vice President, Research, National MS Society

Mark Allegretta is Vice President of Research at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, whose responsibilities include providing leadership and direction for the Society’s research portfolio, including commercial development partnerships. He joined the Society in 2014, having worked over 25 years at the interface between academic discovery research and the biotechnology sector. Previously he was President, Chief Scientific Officer and Co-founder of BioMosaics Inc. and worked various positions at InterMune Pharmaceuticals and Connetics Corporation. Mark earned his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Vermont. He was the recipient of a National MS Society postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University.
