Steve Finkbeiner is director of the Center for Systems and Therapeutics and the Taube/Koret Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research at Gladstone Institutes. Finkbeiner’s research is broadly focused across many neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases. His lab has developed new patient-derived models of many diseases, including ALS, and developed state-of-the-art technologies to generate and analyze imaging and genetic data. His research emphasizes the necessity of understanding the neurobiology of disease well enough to design and produce effective therapeutics.
